How to cultivate a positive self-image
Can you walk out of the door without make-up?
Makeup Free Me had the amazing idea to create a make-up free day which will occur on Friday the 29th.
Indeed, according to a recent survey, only 33% of women think they are attractive. Which means 67% don’t. And sometimes it can lead to serious mental disorders. That is why the idea to remove make-up for at least one day was launched.
First, using make-up is not going without consequences:
- It contains toxic ingredients that can cause cancer and fatal illnesses.
- It can lead to a hormonal disruption that tends to compromise immunity.
- It pollutes the environment.
- Lots of products are tested on animals.
Secondly, we already have everything we need to be and feel attractive: our mind. Everything starts there and it is really powerful! Imagine that your mind is a garden and your thoughts are seeds. The flowers will be wonderful or not, depending on the quality of the seeds and of course how well taken care is the soil. It’s true! So, by thinking and feeling that you actually are amazing, wonderful, beautiful and attractive, you are becoming that. The more you “love seeds” you place on your “garden” by thinking and feeling awesome, the more you will be. You do not need make-up for this.
I stopped using make-up at all (not only in my eyes but in my face too) since 3 months ago. And with time I appreciate myself more and more. I do not need make-up to find myself attractive because I am already beautiful. The stronger and more beautiful you think you are, the better.
By removing your make-up, you will also realize that you do not need it to be confident. You will accept yourself as you are. And you will finally stop thinking about it. You will also live for yourself and not based on the validation of others.
Moreover being attractive is not only a question of outside beauty. It is also and mostly a question of inner beauty.
So what is the best make-up you can put on your face?
It is an inner make-up. Learn to cultivate positive thoughts about yourself. Stop blaming yourself. Stop trying to look like other women. Be proud of who you are and of your own skin. Start being confident. Be in love with your face. And smile!
We recently discovered Anna Akana’s video “How to put on your face” who truly gives a make-up lesson but not the most common kind. You will learn how to put optimism, take care of your body and deal with your self-esteem. Because it is the real key to your attractiveness. We really recommend you to watch it (video below).
And these remarks not only concern women. Lots of men also suffer from a negative self-appreciation.
So please remember, the more positive you think about yourself the better.
