Almost every time I’m reading an article, it’s very likely that it would be about how that person managed to do or get this or that. For example: “How I lost 50 kg and never got them back”, “how I found the recipe to happiness in 9 steps”, or, “how I saved my marriage by doing this simple thing”. The list can definitely go on, as you can imagine.
All of those posts are about magic recipes that did wonders to those people and that can do the same for you too, the reader.
My reaction to these articles, in case they address my own situation, is usually something like: “Wow, great! Finally, something that works. I’ve been through that as well! I know what she/he means. I will try it also and I am sure everything will be OK!”. Does it sound familiar?
Unfortunately, so far, I’ve never read a story about how is the author doing at the moment he or she is writing it. Which problems, fears, questions they currently have or what did they try? What worked and what did not?
When Rodrigo proposed me to write I asked myself: “what could I write about? I’ve got so much stuff in my head that I would like to share but I don’t want to just a fill another website… It should be something meaningful and inspiring!”
You see, I am a teacher. I have taught for 5 years and the first word that came to my mind was: “INSPIRE.”
I find my inspiration daily in wonderful people around me, in books, in nature and of course in my students. And if there’s something I would like to do is to INSPIRE! I think that this should be the first goal for a teacher. I also believe that the nicest way to inspire someone is by being you and by adding a personal touch. So I decided to write about my experience with magic formulas and about my own journey, which is far from over.
Everybody wants a magic formula to help them overcome a difficult situation in their life, but I have realized there is no universal magic formula! Everything is relative and subject to questioning. If something worked for me, it doesn’t mean it will work for you. Nevertheless, we spend half of our lives trying other people’s magic formula and the other half realizing that those formulas are simply not working…
Then, we get to see that by always searching for others’ answers we are forgetting to look inside ourselves to find those answers, the ones that matter, the ones that are applicable to us and only us.
We are divine creatures of God, seeking perfection. We seem to have forgotten that perfection is already within ourselves and that this is the first place to look into.
It seems that we are so afraid of what we might find inside ourselves that we think that everything else is good, except us…
Throughout my life, I’ve read, listened, and watched many doctors, psychologists, gurus, enlightened people showing THE way but I began to wonder “is that THE way or just THEIR way?” Because I’ve failed many times by following someone else’s advice and all those times I ended up frustrated, unhappy and hopeless.
Lately I discovered that I am like a mouse in its wheel: always going around and around and never getting anywhere. And I realized that it is because I tried everything except my own advice. I never had a talk, a real talk with myself, with my body… but this is something I am working on at the moment.
A wise man once said that we have inside of us a universe waiting to be discovered. I am trying to understand this and to get into that universe but all I know until now is that it is quite a quest. It is not easy to understand and to truly know yourself, but it’s also not impossible. I am sure about this and I have big faith that with some help from above all will fall in it’s place at some divine moment.
In the meantime, I decided to be happy and enjoy every second of my life, every place I see and every person I meet. Who said we should be happy only for one reason? Why not being happy just to be happy, just to know that you exist, that you are alive, that you breath, see and feel…
Let’s learn how to be happy and smile for even the smallest, simple things. Like this we will surround ourselves with love, positive energy and wonderful new opportunities.
I will finish by saying that we should remember that everything has a meaning and a timing and it’s for our own good. So if now I am in this place and situation, it means that it’s the best place and situation to be in and that this is exactly what I need in order to become my true, best self.

Wonderfully put! I found a way to be meditative – for me – was to spin yarn. This has helped me to get in touch with answers deep inside. We all have to find our own method of getting the answers – you are very right! 😀
I liked Mona’s article very much as well. She’s definitely right, we all have to find our way 😀
I am glad you found yours Fran! :)))
Our mission is to inspire by example, let’s be happy and make the others happy too! 😉
Exactly Jovita!!
